The best company will win up to $25,000 worth (combined) professional service package provided by LSA's business partners*, including:
- Up to $5,000 worth of services for Patent writing and registering, provided by Reinhold Cohn Group.
- Competitive intelligence service, worth up to $5,000, provided by Trendlines. The service will include an intelligence report, followed by 3 quarterly updates.
- US Snapshot Reimbursement Assessment service for medical devices, worth up to $5,000, provided by Princeton Reimbursement Group (PRG). The snapshot assessment addresses U.S. reimbursement from a high-level perspective and provides a basic understanding of the coding, coverage and payment for the winner's product in the U.S.

Competition Stages:
- Initial Participation Questionnaire: Fill-in a short (2 page) questionnaire, describing the company and the product. Filled-in questionnaires should be sent to the following address: Startup-day@lsahome.com
Deadline for submitting the questionnaire: November 1st 2007.
- Business Plan submission: The 15 best companies ranked will be requested to send their business plans. All projects will be ranked by the judging panel that is comprised of the competition business partners and sponsors.
- Presentations – November 28th 2007: The highest ranked 10 companies will be invited to hold a 20 minutes presentation to the judging panel members.
- Winner Announcement: The winner will be announced within two weeks of the presentations day.
